Rennie Stoyanova : ウィキペディア英語版 | Rennie Stoyanova
Rennie Stoyanova (born 30 July 1957) was a nurse for 25 years in Bulgaria. The last 16 years of her nursing career were in a hemodialysis Unit. In 2003 she blew the whistle about a high percentage of hepatitis virus carriers among her patients for many years due to poor hygiene and lack of control, and - currently - undocumented HD treatment of visiting patients from Belgium and Israel. Threatened into silence by the hospital management, she left her job and wrote a book, ''Chronicle of a Notified Leave: Hemodialysis Novel''. Her book was a passionate account not only of the recent events but also of her long experience as a health worker. Within a year afterwards, the government introduced new standards for good medical practices in the Bulgarian hemodialysis units and elsewhere. *http://liternet.bg/library/bl/s/reni_stoianova.htm *An "interview": http://www.muse-apprentice-guild.com/fall_2003/1bulgaria/rennie_stoyanova/the_mag.html
